Notable apps and app updates for Dec. 8, 2016

On a regular basis, Apple World Today posts a list of notable new apps or app updates that have been released. They may not necessarily be new, but they’re popular and deserve mention. Here are today’s picks.

iOS Apps/Updates

Origin8 Technologies has introduced Solar Siege 1.0.8, their latest mobile strategy title. In the game, you take command of a deep space mining station harvesting the riches of the asteroids, manage a power network crucial to sustain operations, and defend against an alien foe who wants a piece of the galactic pie. Players can spend earnings on a selection of persistent upgrades to support and complement their units, research new abilities, weapons and defenses. Solar Siege is free, but does tout in-app purchases.

Abson Developments has debuted Ding Dong Christmas Delivery 1.0. In the free game, the paperboy is all grown up and has graduated to delivering hot slices of pizza around town. Players take control of a huge variety of over 25 vehicles, from tanks to boats, police cruisers and all in between. Drive through towns, army camps, farms and urban cities. Dodge traffic and deliver as much food as you can.

macOS Apps/Updates

Reggie Ashworth has announced AppDelete 4.3.1 an update to his application deletion utility for macOS.

Via drag and drop, it will uninstall anything along with all of the associated items. The latest version has been optimized for macOS Sierra. It also adds a new icon and graphics, a new App Reset Tool, and anew Clear Logs too.

AppDelete 4.3.1 requires macOS 10.7 or higher. It costs $7.99 for a single-user license. Upgrades from version 2.x and 3.x are $3.99. A demo is available at the product website.
