No, Apple, don’t build that new Nashville retail store THERE, build it HERE

Nooo! The Nashville Post reports that Apple plans to build a new retail store at Fifth + Broadway in downtown Nashville. But that’s not where a new store is needed most (at least in my selfish opinion).

Apple also has a retail store in the west side of Music City in the Green Hills Mall. There’s another in the CoolSprings Galleria down the road in Franklin. But there are none in the north end of town (where I live).

It takes me almost 30 minutes to get to the Green Hills store — and that’s if I go at a time where I can avoid traffic. If I get stuck in traffic, it takes 45 minutes to an hour.

There are a lot of Apple fans in the north side of Nashville/Davidson County and the adjoining Sumner County who need a retail store that’s more convenient.

May I suggest the Streets of Indian Lake (pictured) in Hendersonville, Tennessee, which adjoins Nashville? It’s in a growing, affluent part of this region, and one that’s not being served by an Apple retail store presently.

Hey, Tim Cook, if Apple wants to build a retail store in downtown Nashville, fantastic. The tourists and those who live downtown will love it. But while you’re at it, go ahead and build a new retail store in Hendersonville, TN.

I thank you in advance.
