No 16-inch MacBook Pro until mid-2020?

Where is the rumored 16-inch MacBook Pro? I’m beginning to think we won’t see it until next year. In a new note to clients — as noted by MacRumors — analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says a new Mac portable with a scissor keyboard will launch in mid-2020.

What he doesn’t clarify is if the Mac laptop in question is a new MacBook Air, a new 12-inch MacBook, a new MacBook Pro (13-inch and 15-inch), or the anticipated “supersized” MacBook Pro. The analyst has previously predicted that Apple will transition its entire laptop lineup to scissor switch keyboards in 2020, moving away from the controversial butterfly keyboard.

Of course, it’s possible that a 16-inch MacBook Pro could be announced along with the modular Mac Pro and XDR Pro Display that Apple has promised will arrive this year. Fingers crossed.
