News round-up: ‘Snap’ video, TSMC chip production, more

Since Steve and I can’t cover everything, we’ll frequently offer a wrap-up news items you should check out.

Apple has posted a new AirPods Pro ad dubbed “Snap. The two-minute video shows a woman taking advantage of AirPods Pro features such as Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode.

Apple supplier TSMC is set to kick off volume production of chips built using 5nm process technology in April, and has already seen the process capacity fully booked by clients, according to DigiTimes (a subscription is required to read the entire article). The chips will likely be used in upcoming iPhones.

Apple has released the fifth developer beta of watchOS 6.2. Registered developers can download the beta via Apple’s developer portal. Or it can be downloaded over-the-air once the proper configuration profile has been installed from the Developer Center.

AppleInsider says analyst Wamsi Mohan from Bank of America has tweaked his target price for Apple stock, and is slightly reducing what he expects from the company for 2020, mostly because of supply and demand impacts from the coronavirus pandemic.
