News round-up: ‘See’ cast updates, China retail stores, more

Since Steve and I can’t cover everything, we’ll frequently offer a wrap-up news items you should check out.

Adrian Paul (Highlander) is set to star alongside Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista in the second season of See, Apple TV+’s world-building drama from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight and director Francis Lawrence, notes Deadline.

AppleInsider notes that Beijing’s Apple Stores are open for about half the hours that they are normally, and are subjecting visitors to temperature checks and maximum occupancy limits because of the Coronavirus outbreak.

Macotakara says Japan is giving out over 2,000 iPhones to passengers stuck onboard a Princess cruise ship near Japan (due to the Coronavirus outbreak) so that “there will be one unit of phone per cabin in every passengers cabins and crew rooms.”

According to CNET, Apple has added new AR shopping tools to major retailer sites. New iPhone and iPad integrations add “buy” buttons and links for Home Depot, Wayfair and others.

MacRumors notes that Apple has updated its Shazam app with a new feature that allows users to search for content. The refreshed version of the song identification tool features a new Search button right on the Home screen that can be used to look up any artist, song, or song lyric.
