News items you should check out: September 29

Since I can’t cover everything, I’ll often direct your attention to articles from various other sources worth your time.

° From 9to5Mac: The Italian antitrust regulator has found that Apple’s iCloud terms and conditions are unreasonable and unfair to consumers, and may breach consumer protection laws. It’s the latest in a long line of antitrust investigations and lawsuits faced by the Cupertino company.

° From MacRumors: Apple has increased the price of its Beats Flex headphones from $49.99 to $69.99, a pricing shift that may be related to supply chain constraints that have raised the costs of components across the industry.

° From Business Insider: Thieves have used Apple’s own devices to steal millions in gift cards.

° From iMore: Apple’s iPhone 13 is making waves again, and once more it isn’t for all the right reasons.

° From the Apple TV+ YouTube channel: Apple has posted a trailer for “Blush,” the first short film debuting as part of an expansive multi-year partnership between Apple Original Films and Skydance Animation.

° From Deadline: Jake Picking (Top Gun: Maverick), Will Ropp (The Way Back), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone) and Kyle Allen (West Side Story) are the latest additions to The Greatest Beer Run Ever, the Apple Original Film from director Peter Farrelly and Skydance Media.

° From MacVoices Live!: On the new episode, host Chuck Joiner continues his conversation with Jay Miller about look at tech companies through a social equity lens, and how their social efforts might affect consumer’s buying decisions. (Part 2)
