Since I can’t cover everything, here are some recommended articles from some other sources.

Since I can’t cover everything, I like to offer a daily round-up of must-read articles from some other great websites.

° From Reuters: Thousands of smartphone applications in Apple and Google’s online stores contain computer code developed by a technology company, Pushwoosh, that presents itself as based in the U.S., but is actually Russian.

° From The Information (a subscription is required to read the entire article): Apple is not seeking to add significantly more ads on the iPhone, and is satisfied with the current revenue growth. (Note from Dennis: this conflicts with previous reports, including one from Bloomberg.)

° From CBS News: CEO Tim Cook says that Apple is being “very deliberate” on hiring amid the global economic uncertainty.

° From AppleInsider: Apple’s Chinese iPhone factory misfortunes will certainly impact shipments, says JP Morgan, but the full impact won’t be known until the facility returns to normal output.

° From Bloomberg: Apple retail store employees helped create some of the most valuable square footage in the US. Now they feel more like regular salespeople—so they’re unionizing.

° From Deadline: Inspirational, if a bit mysterious, messages have been cropping up on billboards in the hometowns of members of the US Men’s National Soccer Team just as the World Cup approaches. The apparent motivator? None other than Ted Lasso (or perhaps the man plays him, Jason Sudeikis).

° From MacVoices Live!: In the first-ever “About An Hour With” live event on the MacVoices channel on YouTube, Josh Centers, the author of “Take Control of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16,” starts off with when and why to update to the new OS versions, the Home app and Matter, and changes with Apple Books. He also takes questions and comments from the chat, and discusses Stage Manager and what it is trying to accomplish. (Part 1)
