° Apple manufacturing partner, TSMC, has now officially kicked off production of Apple’s upcoming A15 chip for the iPhone 13 lineup, expected later on in the second half of this year, according to a  DigiTimes (a subscription is required to read the entire article).

° DigiTimes also says that Apple looks to pass Samsung as the largest buyer of AMOLED displays for smartphones later this year following the release of the iPhone 13, which will push the adoption of flexible AMOLED displays in iPhones to 80%.

° The gang at iFixit — who tear apart electronic device’s innards and look at ‘em so you don’t have to — has posted its teardown of the 2021 Apple TV 4K.

° Speaking of the new set top box, MacRumors reports that some owners are reporting that TV shows and movies in several apps are listed as HD rather than the expected 4K resolution.

° An iOS app rating flaw lets developers create apps that cannot be opened until the user gives it a five-star review according to 9to5Mac.

° The USB Implementers Forum introduced a version 2.1 update to the USB Type-C specification, which offers the potential of standard support power levels of up to 240W.

° Apple is looking for a Business Development Manager with experience in alternative payments, including cryptocurrency, according to a recent job listing.

° At Wednesday’s Flash Perspective event, Western Digital unveiled the new SanDisk Professional brand of premium storage solutions for content creators and professionals.
