° From AppleInsider: Apple has reported that in 2021, it ceased working with 12 smelters and refiners because of concerns about them mining in armed conflict areas.

° From 9to5Mac: Apple opened its third United Arab Emirates Apple Store just a week ago, but is already preparing to open its fourth. Like last week’s opening, this one too is in Abu Dhabi, but this time on Al Maryah Island.

° From Bloomberg: TSCM, the biggest assembler of iPhones said component shortages that have plagued electronics production for more than a year are showing signs of easing, a potentially encouraging signal for manufacturers across industries.

° From iMore: Shareholders have urged Apple to adopt a revised Transparency report regarding the apps removed from its App Store at the request of governments.

° From MacRumors: Colorado resident Christopher Bryan on Wednesday filed a class action lawsuit against Apple that accuses the company of fraudulently marketing and selling the sixth-generation iPad mini despite being aware of a so-called “jelly scrolling” defect with the device.
