New Apple ad touts iPad Pro as a computer replacement

I love it! A new Apple ad released today shows how the iPad Pro can be used to do many of the same things as a “real computer,” which is my personal belief and the reason I use the big tablet as my “laptop” of choice:

The ad, titled “What’s a computer?“, shows the iPad Pro being used with hands and fingers, Apple Pencil, and Smart Keyboard with a variety of productivity apps from Microsoft Word to what appears to be a note-taking app. Ending with the tag line “Imagine what your computer could do if your computer was an iPad Pro,” the 30-second video shows just how many of the usual “computer” functions can be performed with ease on the powerful tablet.

Members of a pair of Apple user groups — Washington DC’s Apple Pi and Denver’s Macintech — already know how I feel about the iPad Pro as my laptop replacement through a presentation I’ve made to them. It’s nice to see that Apple agrees that the iPad Pro IS a computer.
