NETGEAR ships Orbi 4G LTE Advanced WiFi Router

NETGEAR has announced worldwide availability of its Orbi 4G LTE Advanced WiFi Router (LBR20), which provides an alternative for when traditional wired internet connections are limited or unavailable. Originally introduced at CES 2020, the company say it’s the industry’s first 4G LTE modem with tri-band mesh WiFi.

The US$399.99 device can be combined with existing wired service to create an internet connection backed up by 4G LTE in case of a wireline service disruption. It offers a dedicated wireless backhaul between the router and satellites.

The Orbi 4G LTE Advanced WiFi Router can be paired with the Orbi WiFi 5 satellite to create a mesh system. It offers speeds up to 1.2Gbps over 4G LTE and coverage up to 2,000 square feet. Additionally, you can add NETGEAR Armor (cybersecurity protection) and Circle (smart parent controls).
