myTuner Radio for Mac OS X is a cool companion for Apple Music

If Apple Music doesn’t satisfy all your music listening needs, AppGeneration’s myTuner Radio app  for Mac OS X is a nice complement to the music service.

After downloading it from the Mac App Store, the app offers easy access to 30,000 live radio stations from more than 120 countries. myTuner Radio is accessed via an icon in the menu bar, so it doesn’t take up much screen real estate.

With myTuner Radio, you can find stations that play everything from bluegrass to hip hop to sports news. You can search for radio stations by city, country, genre or artist, then save the ones you like as favorites, so they’ll always be handy. You can even record radio stations.

You can share your favorite stations with others via SMS, email, Facebook, and Twitter. What’s more, you listen to a sample of the most played songs on the radio.

If you’re perfectly happy with Apple Music, great. If not, check out AppGeneration’s software. It can expand your listening options at a reasonable price.

myTuner Radio requires Mac OS X 10.9 or later. It costs US$9.99 and is available in the Mac App Store in the Music category.
