Mophie’s speedport 120 wall charger offers lot of charging power in a compact design

Recently mophie announced new speedport wall chargers made with Gallium Nitride (GaN). The high end speedport 120 4-port GaN wall charger delivers a maximum shared output of up to 120W of fast charging power.

It packs three USB-C PD ports and one USB-A port, so you can charge up to four Apple devices simulaneously. GaN technology uses high-performance internal silicon components to increase charging efficiency in an ultra-compact form factor. This means you get faster power in a smaller charger.

The speedport 120 delivers up to a combined total of 120W of power to charge your portable devices. That’s a lot of juice. You can access up to 100W of power using only the first USB-C port to fully charge a large device such as I do with a 16-inch MacBook Pro.

You can use two USB-C ports to access fast-charging power starting at 99W and higher. What’s more, you can use all four ports simultaneously to access up to 119W of power collectively.

A nice touch: the off-wall design of the speedport 120 prevents it from taking up more than one space on your power strip.

The speedport 120 will set you back US$99. But that’s money well spent if you need to quickly charge multiple Apple devices on the road.
