Meraki Go launches the Router Firewall Plus (GX50)

Meraki Go has launched the Router Firewall Plus (GX50). Powered by Cisco, the GX50 features upgraded capabilities including enterprise-grade security, secure client VPN, and 500+ Mbps throughput, all while still taking under 10 minutes to set up with no IT experience needed.

Apart from the built-in enterprise security powered by Cisco, which has automatic firmware and security updates, the Router Firewall Plus comes equipped with a secure client VPN. The folks at Meraki say tha high network performance is ensured with over 500 Mbps firewall throughput, and allows remote workers to securely access company resources from anywhere, with better user privacy.

The router also comes with a USB port, a WAN ethernet port that can be connected to a modem for internet access, and four LAN Ethernet ports to provide high-speed wired internet connectivity.

Everything can be set up through the cloud-managed Meraki Go app, available on iOS and Android, or on the Meraki Go web portal. Users can adjust traffic limits and block websites with a few taps. The app and web portal  also provide insights on network usage in real-time to give business owners full visibility into their usage and needs.

The Router Firewall Plus is available now on www.amazon.com and www.meraki-go.com for US$299.
