Line Pay in Japan Adds Apple Pay

As noted by AppleInsider, Apple Pay is now being supported by LINE Pay in Japan. Users can now pay with their LINE Pay balance via Apple’s payment mechanism.

LINE Pay is LINE’s own brand of e-money that allows users to shop at physical and online stores, pay utility bills, and send money to friends, just with their LINE smartphone app.

It was developed by NHN Japan, NHN Corp. It’s managed by a Japanese company called Line Corporation (a subsidiary of the South Korean company Naver Corporation). Basic functions are available free of charge, while most stickers and in-game items have to be paid for.
