LG announces pricing for 8K NanoCell TVs with Apple HomeKit, AirPlay 2 support

LG Electronics USA has announced pricing and availability of 2020 8K LG NanoCell TVs, featuring 12 new models led by the 86-inch class Nano90 4K UHD model. They support Apple’s HomeKit and AirPlay 2.

HomeKit is a framework that allows control of compatible home automation devices through iOS and Siri. With AirPlay 2, LG TV owners can stream content from iPhones, iPads, and Macs straight to their TV set

LG’s 2020 NanoCell TVs support all major HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, HDR 10 and HLG as well as Dolby Atmos. Other technologies designed to improve the viewing experience of movies, sports and games include the UHD Alliance’s Filmmaker Mode, and the HDR Gaming Interest Group’s (HGiG) HDR gaming profile. LG NanoCell TVs also support game play with auto low-latency mode (ALLM) on the Nano99 and Nano 91 series and variable refresh rate (VRR) on the Nano 90 and Nano 85 series, for smooth action.

The line-up ranges in screen sizes from 86-inches to 49-inches diagonally. Pricing ranges from US$599 to $4,999.
