Kanex announces GoPlay wireless game controllers for iOS devices

Kanex announced its GoPlay Series of portable wireless game controllers for iOS at this week’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. GoPlay SideKick, the first in the series, is a pocket-sized wireless game controller for the iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.

Certified by Apple, this portable controller works with almost any controller-supported game on the Apple App Store. The rechargeable battery provides 20 hours of gameplay and uses Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to your iDevice. The patent pending, innovative clamshell case protects your controller and also serves as a stand to prop up your device.

The SideKick boasts pressure-sensitive buttons, dual analog joysticks, trigger buttons and a D-pad. A single charge provides up to 20 hours of gameplay. The SideKick will be available in February at a manufacturer’s retail price of US$59.95.
