According to the news aggregator account “yeux1122” on the Naver blog — as noted by MacRumors — Apple may introduce atomic layer deposition (ALD) equipment into the iPhone 16 Pro camera lens manufacturing process.
ALD involves depositing materials one atomic layer at a time onto a substrate, allowing for extremely precise control over thickness and composition. It should reduce lens flare and ghosting.
The iPhone 16 line-up will almost certainly arrive in September or October. Here’s a round-up of other rumors regarding the next gen smartphone:
