iPhone 12, new iPads expected in October (though 5G iPhones could be delayed further)

Apple leakier Jon Prosser tweeted that Apple’s “iPhone 12” lineup and new iPads [probably non-Pro version, per the Sellers Research Group] will debut in October, a month later than usual. Another report says that some of those iPhones, particularly, 5G models might be delayed further.

Meanwhile, Qualcomm shared its third quarter earnings report and hinted that Apple’s upcoming 5G iPhones could be delayed, per Reuters. The company didn’t specify Apple smartphones, but that’s the most likely scenario.

“We’re seeing a partial impact from the delay of a flagship phone launch,” Chief Financial Officer Akash Palkhiwala told Reuters. “And so what we’ve seen is a slight delay that pushes some of the units out from the September quarter to the December quarter for us.”
