iMacs in different colors? Why not more hues for Mac laptops?

In video on YouTube channel FrontPageTech, Apple leaker Jon Prosser says the upcoming iMacs will have a major redesign and come in five colors: silver, space grey, green, sky blue, and rose gold. How about more colors for Mac laptops?

Currently, you can get the MacBook Air in space gray, gold, or silver. You can get the 13-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro in space grey or silver. However, I’d love to have a 16-inch MacBook Pro running an Apple M1 chip in sky blue. How about you?

Offering more colors for a Mac laptop would bring a bit more whimsy and fun to the line-up. Depending on your age, you may or may not remember the iBook line of Mac laptops that ran from 1999 to 2006. They were available in five “flavors”: tangerine, blueberry, key lime, indigo, and graphite (kinda grey).

The iBook line was fun and colorful. Personally, I don’t want a key lime MacBook Pro, but some folks might. Apple might at least offer more fanciful colors for the MacBook Air, while still offering more “serious” hues for the pro line-up.

And, hey, sky blue is a “serious” color, don’t you think?
