I don’t think Apple is planning a 12.9-inch iPad Air

Updated iPad Pros with OLED displays are anticipated any day now, and the iPad Air will adopt OLED display panel technology (eventually), according to research firm Omdia.

Apple’s iPad roadmap includes a 12.9-inch iPad Air, according to DigiTimes (a subscription is required to read the entire article). However, the Sellers Research Group (that’s me) is dubious.

DigiTimes claims that the bigger Air device would sport the same LCD technology used in the current, 10.9-inch ‌iPad Air‌, not mini-LED. The article doesn’t offer an predictions as to such a device’s release date.

I don’t see Apple releasing a bigger iPad Air. The company’s tablet line-up is confusing enough as it is with making it more complications. The iPad Air has only come in one size since its debut, and I don’t see that changing.
