It’s easy to use Siri, Apple’s “personal digital assistant,” on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch to get directions. Here’s how on your iOS or iPadOS device:
° Hold down the Home button to activate Siri (or say “Hey, Siri” if your iOS device supports this feature).
° Tell Siri the place you want directions to. For example. “Where is Barnes & Noble?”
° Siri will show you the location on a map. If there are multiple locations, you can tap the one you want. The location will be shown to you on a map.
° Siri will then present you with directions from your current location to your destination.
° Tap Start and you’re good to go.
Here’s how on the Apple Watch:
° Open the Maps app by pressing the Digital Crown to access the home screen, and then tapping on the Maps icon.
° To search for a new location, tap Search (to look for a specific named location) or Nearby (to browse categories of nearby locations, such as Food and Shopping) from the main menu. Or you can jump to a search directly from the My Location map screen: press firmly and select Search or Nearby from the menu.
Once you’ve selected a target location, select whether you require walking, driving or public transport directions, then tap Start.
The Apple Watch will display the instructions turn by turn, vibrating on your wrist when a turn is approaching.
