Just like iOS and iPadOS apps, apps in watchOS don’t automatically turn off when you close them. Turning apps off can be helpful if you want to save battery life. Here’s how:
° Press the Side button on your Apple Watch.
° The Dock with a list of recently-opened apps will appear.
° Swipe left on the app you wish to turn off.
° Tap the red “x” to turn off the app.
This will close your app. You can reopen it from the Home screen of your Apple Watch.
