You should empty the trash on your iPad occasionally to free up empty space. However, this isn’t as easy as doing it on the Mac. But here’s how:
- Open the “Files” app on your iPad.
- Tap on the “Browse” tab located at the bottom of the screen.
- Look for the “Recently Deleted” folder and tap on it.
- Select the files you want to delete permanently by tapping on them or use the “Select All” option.
- Once you have chosen the files, tap on the “Delete” button.
- A confirmation pop-up will appear, asking if you want to delete the selected files permanently. Tap “Delete” to proceed.
- You’ve now emptied the iPad trash.
But you should note that once you empty the iPad trash, the deleted files can’t be recovered.
