Here’s how to backup your iPhone to iCloud

Planning on trading in your current iPhone on a new iPhone 13 when the new models become available tomorrow? Or perhaps planning to sell your current model? Whatever your plans, now is a good time to back up your iPhone data to iCloud. Here’s how:

° Connect your iPhone to a Wi-Fi network.

° Go to Settings > [your name], and tap iCloud.

° Tap iCloud Backup.

° Tap Back Up Now. Stay connected to your Wi-Fi network until the process ends. Under Back Up Now, you’ll see the date and time of your last backup.

And follow these steps to set up iCloud Backup to automatically back up your iPhone each day:

° Make sure that iCloud Backup is turned on in Settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup.

° Connect your smartphone to a power source.

° Make sure it’s connected to a Wi-Fi network.

° Make sure that the iPhone’s screen is locked.

And if you get an alert says that you don’t have enough iCloud storage space to complete the backup, follow the onscreen steps to buy more storage.
