HBO extends deadline for dropping second and third generation Apple TV support

On April 8 HBO said its HBO GO and HBO NOW streaming services will no longer be available on second-generation and third-generation Apple TV set-top boxes starting April 30,The company has now extended this deadline.

It will remove HBO NOW from these platforms on May 15.  HBO GO will remain available for “a few additional months.

HBO NOW is a standalone streaming service that doesn’t require a cable TV package. HBO GO is included with a paid cable TV subscription that has HBO.
