GarageBand for iOS, iPadOS gets external drive support and new sound pack

Apple has updated the iOS and iPadOS version of GarageBand, its free user creation software targeted to non-pros. Version 2.3.8 allows you to access files from external hard drives, SD card readers, and USB drives.

There’s a new downloadable “Skyline Heat” sound pack with a collection of over 350 new hip hop loops and six drum kits GarageBand 2.3.8 also adds support for Dark Mode and a new Share sheet in iOS 13. 

You can now search for Apple Loops by Sound Library. Finally, the upgrade improves the audio fidelity of Apple Loops when making tempo and key changes.

GarageBand version 2.3.8 for iOS and iPadOS is available at the App Store.
