Eternal Storms Software updates ScreenFloat for the Mac to version 2.2

Eternal Storms Software has released ScreenFloat 2.2, an update to the Mac app that powers up your screenshots and recordings.

ScreenFloat for Mac is a screenshot and recording tool that can keep captured content visible above other windows. It recognizes text, barcodes and faces for easy extraction and redaction, offers annotations and markup, cropping, resizing, and advanced power-user features like a color picker, automated double-click workflows , and Shortcuts integration.

Additionally, ScreenFloat helps keep your Desktop clutter-free and organizes your captures in its Shots Browser where you can tag, rate, favorite, and sync them across your Macs. New features in version 2.2 include:

° Video Cutting: you can cut out entire sections of your screen recordings, or remove unwanted background noise from audio tracks.

° Link Sharing: In addition to expiring iCloud links for sharing large or multiple shots as a downloadl ink, 2.2 expands on this and integrates ImageKit.io and Cloudinary.com, so you can create permanent, shareable and embeddable links for your shots.

° Double-Click Actions for AppleScripts and Shortcuts: ScreenFloat now allows you to run custom workflows with a simple double-click onto a floating shot. For example, you can resize a shot by 75%, de-retinize it, and then attach it to a new eMail, all with one simple double-click. Version 2.2 now allows you to run custom AppleScripts and Shortcuts with a double-clicked shot for even more control.

° ScreenFloat 2.2 comes with a new “What’s New” panel, that can guide you precisely to new features within the app, and gives you more context and information on specific changes, improvements or features.

ScreenFloat v2.2 is available as a one-time purchase for US14.99on the Mac App Store, with a free, 28-day trial available for download from the website. Its available in English, German, Dutch and Chinese (Simplified) .

The app requires macOS 12 Monterey, with macOS 14 Sonoma recommended for full functionality. The update is free for existing customers of the app, with optional in-app tipping available.
