Element’s Rally case for the new iPhones has one really cool feature

Element Case has released the “X2 Collection” of cases for Apple’s 2019 line-up of iPhones. I’ve had the chance to use the $39.95 Rally case. It’s a decent enough case with one feature that makes it stand out from a horde of competitors.

It’s targeted to users who want clean and simple protection while allowing the good looks of the Apple smartphone to be clearly visible. Protection is provided by clear polycarbonate, DropShock Corners, and a front bezel design that keeps the phone screen from coming in direct contact with surfaces.

The Rally also includes self-repairing tinted polycarbonate material intended to significantly reduce scratching. From what I’ve seen, this works pretty well. The Rally is available in three colors: black, clear, and sunset red.

Apple World Today Rating (out of 5 stars): ★★★★

Other cases in the X2 Collection are the:

Black OPS Elite, at $249.95, is the most expensive iPhone case I know of. It boasts a mechanical kickstand that provides a 35 degree viewing angle for landscape orientation. Other black OPS features include CNC machined G10 and aircraft grade aluminum, “super tough” black type III “hard anodized” coating, and the next level of DropShock technology (expanded to provide impact-absorbing benefits beyond the corners and across the entire case body). Black OPS Elite is available only in, well, black.

Rail is a $34.95 lightweight fusion of snap-in side rail and buttons composed of hard-wearing polycarbonate, and a fitted bumper that combines PC and TPU. The case also boasts Element Case’s proprietary DropShock Corners. It’s available in clear, clear/black, clear/flamingo pink, and clear/red.

Shadow ($39.95) features a soft touch perforated back plate that delivers an “in hand” texture feel designed to provide a more pleasurable user experience. A front bezel design gives table top protection by keeping the phone screen from coming in direct contact with surfaces. Proprietary SureGrip on the top, bottom, and sides offers an ergonomic design for a more comfortable and secure grasp. It’s available in three colors: black, melon, and oxblood.

Illusion is a slim, light chassis complemented by table top protection from a perimeter raised above the front as well as a raised back bezel. This is all combined with a self-repairing tinted polycarbonate designed to reduce scratching, while enabling the smooth styling of an iPhone to be y seen through the case. It’s available in four colors: black, deep sea, electric kiwi, and living coral

All new cases for the new iPhone have been drop-tested to meet the industry’s Mil-Spec standards. Each is also wireless charging compatible.
