Don’t look for a HomePod with a display until at least 2025

Apple continues to work on a HomePod with a display and has begun early work on it with overseas suppliers, Mark Gurman says in his latest Bloomberg PowerOn newsletter.

However, “if Apple finally moves forward with the product, a launch wouldn’t come until 2025 at the earliest,” he adds.

A HomePod with a display has been rumored for some time. For example, in a December 27, 2023, article at MacRumors reported that Apple is working on a HomePod model that features a curved LCD display, according to the Apple leaker and prototype collector known as “Kosutami.” The smart speaker would apparently features the same design as the current ‌HomePod‌ but with a curved, convex LCD screen at the top to display content, Kosutami tweeted.
