Creative T100 speakers sound fantastic and are easy to set up

By Dustin Darnell

Creative’s T100 speakers are extremely good.  They sound fantastic and are easy to set up.

They can be connected to the audio source via 3.5mm AUX cable (with the included AUX cable), optical cable, USB, or Bluetooth.  The right speaker has four simple buttons: volume up, volume down, Bluetooth, and source.  Bluetooth pairing is intuitive and pairs quickly by pressing the Bluetooth button.  The source button can be used to switch between the audio inputs.  I have had great success switching between audio on my phone via Bluetooth and audio on the TV via the AUX port.

Included with the speakers is an IR remote that allows additional customization.  The remote allows you to manipulate the treble and bass or select from several audio presets (music, cinema, concert, and gaming).  The remote has stop, pause, fast forward, and rewind button that can be used to control music over Bluetooth.

And what of the audio? The T1000 boasts a 2.75-inch full-range driver with built-in digital amplifier that fires up to 40W RMS and has a peak power of up to 80W. The BasXPort tech further enhances the bass to reproduce rich, deep tones without a need for subwoofer. In addition to thumping bass, the T100 has a rich, warm sound without the “tinniness” often found in desktop speakers.

I highly recommend the T100. They’re a great buy at $150.
