The Malware Removal in CleanMyMac X is now powered by Moonlock Engine, new technology for detecting malware.
According to Dmytro Melnyk, lead product manager at CleanMyMac X, the update brings the following performance and functionality improvements:
• Malware scan runs up to 2 times faster than before;
• The scan covers additional locations like external drives, mail attachments, archives, and browser extensions;
• Users can configure the scan according to their needs, prioritizing either speed or coverage.
