Charge Stream Pad+ is good for households with both Apple, Samsung smartphones

If you have both Apple and Samsung smartphones in your household, you’ll find a mophie’s Charge Stream Pad+ handy. It’s a $59.95 wireless charging pad for Apple and Samsung Qi-enabled phones.

It delivers the maximum wireless charging speed for both Apple and Samsung handsets, topping out at 7.5W for the iPhone X/8 and 10W for a variety of Galaxy models. When a phone is placed on the Pad+, “smart” charging circuitry communicates with the device to determine the optimal amount of power it needs.

Foreign object detection also ensures that power is only sent to compatible wireless devices. And low standby current ensures minimal power draw when the Pad+ isn’t being used.

If you’re a big fan of mophie products (and they make lots of cool stuff), the Charge Stream Pad+ also works with charge force mophie Juice Pack battery cases designed for Apple and Samsung smartphones. Charging begins as soon as you place a phone on the Pad+.  For those not using a Juice Pack, power from the Pad+ is delivered through most lightweight cases.

You can continue to use your smartphone while it’s charging. And the Charge Stream Pad+ has a minimal, low-profile design that’s compact and unobtrusive.

A rubberized pad holds your phone securely in place while it’s charging, and the included cable and wall adapter means you can start charging right out of the box. However, the cable is USB-A, which will be a bit inconvenient if you’re trying to move everything to USB-C.
