Bozoma Saint John is reportedly leaving Apple for Uber

Apple Music exec Bozoma Saint John is leaving Apple to work for Uber, according to TechCrunch, who reportedly confirmed the appointment through multiple sources at Uber.

The transportation company views the appointment as important in helping “turn the tide on recent issues.” You should note that Saint John’s LinkedIn still lists her as working at Apple.

Saint John was awarded a Woman of Influence award by T.J. Martell Foundation for Leukemia, Cancer and AIDS Research in June 2016 because she “has lead distinguished careers while devoting generous time and energy to philanthropic causes.” She was also listed among “The Most Powerful Women in Business” in March 2017 by Black Enterprise.

Before coming aboard at Apple, Saint John was head of the Music and Entertainment Marketing Group at Pepsi-Cola North America, where she drove breakthrough, integrated and sustained consumer engagement plans for brands across the soda giant’s beverages portfolio. Previously, she served as vice president of Marketing for fashion brand Ashley Stewart, as well as at advertising agency management at Arnold Worldwide and Spike Lee’s SpikeDDB.
