BookArc stand gets even classier with a wood focused redesign

Twelve South has updated its BookArc mod MacBook stand — which works with most Mac laptops, including the MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 —with a wood focused design inspired by mid-century modern furniture design and sporting a birch finish. The upgrade makes a classy product even classier.

The stand holds your MacBook vertically, minimizing desk clutter. The BookArc möd comes with soft, interchangeable silicone inserts to fit current MacBooks (Thunderbolt 3/USB-C), MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro Retina models.

To use the stand, you slide your laptop into the silicone slot, connect it to an external display, add a full-size keyboard and mouse to create a de facto desktop setup. Unplug the Mac laptop, and BookArc’s newly designed cable-catch feature keeps your cables from falling to the floor.

The BookArc möd allows you to run your computer setup from the power of your Mac laptop while in closed clamshell mode. The downside is that you’re unable to use the Touch Bar if your Mac sports one.

Twelve South has launched the BookArc möd with a $10 discount for $49.99. This will be a temporary deal that will last for just a few more days when the price will jump back up to $59.99.
