Apple may launch iPhone 12 in South Korea earlier than normal

Apple is expected to launch its new iPhone 12 series in South Korea earlier than its usual schedule and it works to attract more 5G users in the country, reports The Korea Herald.

Keep in mind that Apple hasn’t mentioned an iPhone 12 release date (or even an iPhone 12, for that matter). However, the predictions are that the next gen smartphone will be unveiled on Oct. 13 and go on sale Oct. 23 in some markets.

Usually, Apple releases new iPhones in South Korea about one month after it launched the first batch of products in select countries. However, per The Korea Herald, unnamed “industry insiders” say the the company is apparently looking to release its first 5G-supporting iPhone family in South Korea early since the country already offers various 5G services.

The rumor leaker known as “L0vetodream” says the ‌iPhone 12‌ models will be titled “‌iPhone 12‌ mini,” “‌iPhone 12‌,” “‌iPhone 12‌ Pro,” and “‌iPhone 12‌ Pro Max.” According to L0vetodream, the 5.4-inch model is the ‌iPhone 12‌ mini, the 6.7-inch model is the ‌iPhone 12‌ Pro Max, and the two 6.1-inch models being the ‌iPhone 12‌ and ‌iPhone 12‌ Pro.
