News round-up: the secret iPod project, Epic. vs. Apple, more

Since Steve and I can’t cover everything, we’ll frequently offer a wrap-up of news items you should check out. First up: in 2005, Apple worked with the U.S. government on a “secret” modified iPod, according to TidBits.

° Epic Games, the videogame maker that started a daring legal brawl with Apple last week involving its Fortnite game and App Store policies, wants to organize wider opposition to the tech giant, reports The Information.

° AT&T is offering the 64GB iPhone 11 for 50%  off this month for anyone who’s interested in adding a line to a new or existing AT&T account.

° Brydge has announced the availability of its Pro+ keyboards for the Apple iPad Pro in Best Buy s

° Apple has released the fifth developer betas of iOS 14, iPadOS 14, tvOS 14, and watchOS 7. Registered developers can download the betas via Apple’s developer portal. Or they can be downloaded over-the-air once the proper configuration profile has been installed from the Developer Center.

°  Pennsylvania plans to launch a coronavirus exposure-notification app in early September that’s based on smartphone technology developed by Apple and Google, according to 6 ABC.
