Bart Nabbe departs Apple’s ‘Special Projects’ division for Faraday Future

Bart Nabbe, a vehicle navigations specialist, has left Apple’s “Special Projects” division, and is now working at electric car company Faraday Future as the director of strategy partnerships, reports AppleInsider.

Nabbe is a member of the adjunct faculty at Carnegie Mellon University. He graduated from the university in 2007 with a Ph.D inRobotics..

Last November there was a rumor that Faraday Future, which began operations in an old Nissan research facility in 2014, was a dummy company launched by Apple to hide its car plans. The company has about 500 employees. Faraday has hired the former vehicle and and chassis engineer for the Tesla Model S, the head designer of the BMW i8, a former Ferrari interior designer, and a SpaceX batter specialist.
