Ahhh, I love it when the best made plans about what we’re going to talk about suddenly go out the door. Last night, Marty Edwards and Steve Sande were supposed to demo a few apps and do some “how to” tips. Well, that didn’t happen. Instead, Steve and Marty were both interested in yesterday’s announcement about the iPad version of Anchor, and Steve had done his homework….so we talked about the app, future plans for audio podcasting, and Steve did a demo of the app.
One thing led to another, and Marty — who has an incredible number of security cameras around his place — ended up doing a fantastic demo of Security Spy (Mac and iOS apps) and the Amcrest cameras he likes the most. If you have any interest at all in home security and setting up cameras, you have to watch this episode.
One highlight of the demo? Getting to see the feral cats at Marty’s place that he and his wife Ruby feed. I suggested that Marty start a 24/7 “cat cam” channel on YouTube, but I don’t think it will happen.
