Microsoft releases Office 2016 for Mac preview

<p><a href="http://products.office.com/en-US/mac/mac-preview">Microsoft has released a preview of Office 2016 for Mac</a> that includes several firsts for the platform, including a revamped ribbon and tighter consistency across platforms. The release will let users get their hands on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and One Note before the final release comes out in the second half of 2015. </p>

Apple has been granted a patent for an application for creating e-learning courses

<p>China’s latest Apple Store, the Zhongjie Joy City store, opened recently in Shenyang, China. A <a href="http://youtu.be/_rD9oAd-EFI"><span>video of the event</span></a> showcases the large crowd waiting for the store’s official debut and captures the excitement when the doors are opened for the first time. Waze to bring location-specific AMBER alerts to your phone

<p>Crowdsourced navigation and traffic app Waze today <a href="http://blog.waze.com/2015/03/waze-integrates-amber-alerts-to-help.html"><span>announced</span></a> that it was adding AMBER alerts to its service. The AMBER alerts will be sent to Waze users in the vicinity of the alert and will appear when your car has been stationary for more than 10 seconds. Alerts will disappear when the vehicle beings to move, or they can be dismissed manually. To avoid alert overload, each alert will appear once per week.</p>

Federico Viticci on how the iPhone helped him get back to health after cancer
