<p>Tomorrow's the launch day of the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, and millions of people will be getting their hands on the latest tech from Apple. However, there are still a lot of people who are running pre-iPhone 6 devices. <p><a target="_blank" href="http://pixelmator.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Pixelmator</a> is hands-down one of the best image editing apps for both Mac and iOS. Today, the company released an update to <a target="_blank" href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pixelmator/id924695435?mt=8" rel="noopener noreferrer">Pixelmator for iOS</a> (version 2.1, US$4.99) that provides support for many of the features built into iOS 9.</p>

<p style="margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px">John Legere, the CEO of T-Mobile USA, announced yesterday that preorders for the iPhone 6s are 30 percent higher than what the carrier saw for the iPhone 6 last year. </p><p><a target="_blank" href="https://twitter.com/JohnLegere/status/646463532431622144" rel="noopener noreferrer">Legere took to Twitter yesterday</a> to announce the <a href="https://appleworld.dreamhosters.com/blog/2015/9/23/t-mobile-wants-offers-a-16gb-iphone-6s-for-5-a-month-with-its-jump-plan">new special trade-in plan</a> for folks who want to trade in an iPhone 6 and the a 6s for $5 a month, and threw out that interesting tidbit about preorders in one of the tweets. </p>

<p>The rest of us have to wait until at least Friday, September 25 to get our hands on an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus, but some of the big names in tech have now published their reviews of the next-generation iPhone and things look good. Here's a sampling of what the writers are saying:</p>

<p>Apple occasionally works Easter eggs into its products, and we get to hear some fun (or awful) jokes at the company's product announcement keynotes. Adding photos to blogs is an art unto itself, something that a new Mac app from developer John Saddington (<a href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/desk-writing-blogging-notetaking/id915839505?mt=12">Desk</a>) makes a lot easier. <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/teeny-tokyo-small-yet-powerful/id1035350363?mt=12">Teeny Tokyo</a> ($9.99, launch sale of $4.99) is an OS X app that every blogger, amateur to professional, will want in his toolkit</p>

<p>Apple Watch owners have been anxious to get their hands on watchOS 2, which was pulled at the last minute on Wednesday (September 16) because of bugs that were apparently taking longer to fix than expected. On the off chance that it happens today, or perhaps over the weekend when the AWT team is resting up for the iPhone 6s unboxing next Friday, here is how to update to watchOS 2. watchOS updates are done in a different manner from what we're used to with iOS and OS X updates, so here's what to expect.</p>

<p>I spent last weekend at the <a href="http://bostonfig.com">Boston Festival of Indie Games</a> and played many super games. A real standout was <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/super-happy-fun-block/id968666100">Super Happy Fun Block</a> (universal, $2.99), a side-scrolling puzzle game that's cute, fun and challenging. <p>Yesterday was the start of a new era: Apple's release of iOS 9 brought something new to Safari, content blockers. The primary reason for content blockers is to block ads on websites that you're visiting. Some sites -- probably not Apple World Today -- take forever to load simply because of the huge number of ads that are scattered throughout the site. Those ads are usually pulled from an ad server that's completely different from the web server, causing incredibly slow load times. Content blockers are designed to let you put certain slow-loading sites on a "blacklist", and then block those ads from loading. Other sites can be whitelisted if they're not a problem.</p>

<p>BlueLounge just announced something that I've personally needed for a long time; a AA battery recharger that I can plug into my Mac. <p>Wow, we just keep finding these little Apple treats all over the place! The next big thing to come from Cupertino is the new, lower-cost iCloud Storage. </p>
