<p>Last week’s WWDC announcements pointed to some welcome changes to the upcoming macOS Sierra to improve the productivity of Mac users, but there was one part of the user experience that was seemingly ignored — window management on the Mac. <p>You've probably heard about <a href="http://geocaching.com">geocaching</a>; it's a modern-day scavenger hunt that uses GPS and a website or <a target="_blank" href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/geocaching/id329541503?mt=8" rel="noopener noreferrer">app</a> to let people get out and search for well-hidden logbooks and swag. Now I've been doing this for about 14 years, and there are some downsides to physical caches. First, if you are planning on deploying a cache, you have to plan on maintaining it as well -- keeping it up when water leaks in, adding small pens or pencils, changing out log books, and more. Second, there are places where caches are verboten, like many national and state parks. Well, there's a new game in town that does away with physical caches -- <a target="_blank" href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/munzee-scavenger-hunt/id441701504?mt=8" rel="noopener noreferrer">Munzee</a> (free app, QR codes available for purchase). </p>

These are the voyages of the 4th-generation Apple TV, its mission of unknown length, to explore strange new channels, to seek out new shows and new movies; to boldly go where no set-top box has gone before...</em></p><p>OK, so that was a little over the top, even for this blog. But I was pretty excited about the news that a NASA app has come to the latest Apple TV - so much so that I'm probably going to finally pull the plug on my "old" device and get the new box. </p>

<p>Everybody is jumping on the Swift programming language, not just for writing Apple apps, but for most other computing platforms as well. Munster believes that Apple's move to include Apple Pay integration in both macOS and iOS Safari web browsers this fall will <a target="_blank" href="http://www.streetinsider.com/Analyst+Comments/PayPal+%28PYPL%29%3A+Apple+Pay+in+Safari+May+Be+The+Last+Straw+-+Piper+Jaffray/11758383.html" rel="noopener noreferrer">be responsible for a shift in online payments from PayPal to Apple Pay</a>.</p>

<p>It's a tough world out there right now.
