Epson announces a pair of new EcoTank cartridgeless printers

<p>You know how every time you need to print something important, your printer gives you that "out of ink" message? That was the impetus behind Epson's EcoTank printers, which use large refillable tanks on the printer instead of those obnoxious and pricy cartridges. The company today announced <a target="_blank" href="http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/jsp/Landing/ecotank-super-tank-printers.do?ref=van:us-ecotank" rel="noopener noreferrer">two new additions to the Supertank category of EcoTank printers, the WorkForce ET-16500 wide-format printer and the Expression ET-3600</a>.</p>

Limelens: Unique accessory lenses for iPhone and iPad

<p>Over the years I've probably reviewed at least 30 different accessory lenses for the iPhone and a handful for the iPad. Generally, the accessory manufacturers have some way of aligning the lens with the camera lens on the iOS device, generally using either some sort of clip or special case. Apple Q3 2016 Earnings Summary

<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.apple.com/newsroom/2016/07/apple-reports-third-quarter-results.html" rel="noopener noreferrer">Apple just released its Q3 2016 earnings statement</a> and quarterly revenue was down year-over-year for the second quarter in a row. The company posted quarterly revenue of $42.4 billion and a quarterly net income of $7.8 billion. Those compare to $49.6 billion and $10.7 billion in the year-ago quarter. </p>

NIST: SMS shouldn’t be used for two-factor authentication

<p>The US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has <a target="_blank" href="https://github.com/usnistgov/800-63-3" rel="noopener noreferrer">published a preview of documents that are recommending against the use of SMS as an authenticator</a> for two-factor authentication. As a result, Apple may need to develop a dedicated app or use another app for two-factor authentication.</p>
