Daily Deal: VPNSecure Lifetime Subscription For Just $39

Seasoned world travelers know that although it's great to keep friends and relatives up to date on what you're doing by sending emails and using social networks, unsecured networks can put personal information at risk. Any time you use an unsecured Wi-Fi network at a hotel, coffee shop, or internet cafe anywhere in the world, you're opening yourself to having your personal data or identity stolen. That's why you should seriously consider using a VPN (virtual private network) whenever you're on an open network and take advantage of our limited-time offer for a $39 lifetime subscription to VPNSecure.

Create and Burn Your Own DVDs & Blu-ray Discs with Roxio Toast 15 Titanium

For a company that prides itself on helping people easily create media, Apple has really dropped the ball when it comes to making and archiving video. In the past, it was fast and easy to edit video into excellent movies, then burn those to DVD or Blu-ray for distribution and safekeeping. Not any more! Fortunately, Roxio Toast 15 Titanium is bigger and better than before, and we have it available for Apple World Today readers for just $49 -- that's half-off the regular price.

Although some of us are thrilled with our iPhone 7 purchases and are using Bluetooth headphones or the included Lightning to 3.5mm adapter to listen to music, others aren't happy with the fact that they can't charge their iPhone while using that adapter. The $10 ILDOCK is a very popular ($115,953 pledged towards a $5,000 goal) Kickstarter project for a small dock that plugs into the Lightning port of your iPhone 7 and gives you both a 3.5mm headphone jack and a Lightning port for charging at the same time. We got our hands on a pre-production version of this device for review, and we're happy to say that ILDOCK does its job very well.

There's a difference between photos that are "OK" and those that really pop. Usually, the ones that are most impressive have been enhanced somehow behind the scenes to make them more vivid, get rid of haze, straighten the horizon, and so on -- all by someone who has spent a lot of time learning how to make those enhancements. Photolemur is a new Mac app that will be arriving in beta next week, and from a short hands-on session with the app, all I can say is "Wow!"
