<p>March 31 is World Backup Day, a day set aside to remind computer users everywhere that backups aren't just a good idea; they're something that should be done religiously. Most of our readers are good about running backups on external hard drives with Time Machine or other apps (Carbon Copy Cloner, for example), doing online backups with services like Backblaze or Carbonite, and making sure that their iOS devices are backed up to iCloud nightly. <p>Today's news covers the spectrum from a change at Apple retail outlets to social networks to USB problems with macOS 10.12.4:</p><ul><li>Apple is apparently eliminating business-related positions at Apple retail outlets by the end of April</li><li>Twitter makes a change that allows those obnoxious political screeds to be even longer by no longer counting user names in replies towards the 140-character limit</li><li>Facebook adds a personal fundraiser feature</li><li>USB problems with 10.12.4 appear to be causing issues for a lot of people using USB headsets (and microphones!)</li></ul>

<p>Getting notifications of incoming Messages is a good thing; getting them on your Mac, iPhone, Apple Watch, and any other device you may have is a little too much. Today we'll show you how easy it is to disable Messages on the Mac so you get one less notification to interrupt your work.</p>

<p>I've been impressed with Logitech's accessories for quite some time, currently using one of their excellent CREATE keyboards with my 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
