Today, Dobot announced the start of its <a target="_blank" href="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1478170657/rigiet-the-most-advanced-stabilizer-for-your-phone" rel="noopener noreferrer">Kickstarter campaign to bring the Rigiet stabilizer to market</a> for just $189 -- or $129 to backers of the Kickstarter campaign. The regular retail price is over $100 less than the DJI Osmo...</p>

<p>Keeping a personal journal or diary is a wonderful way to keep track of personal growth, and the best way to do it on any Apple device -- Mac, iPhone or iPad -- is to use the <a target="_blank" href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/day-one-journal/id1044867788?mt=8" rel="noopener noreferrer">Day One</a> app ($4.99, half-off sale). While many people are content to view the ups and downs of their lives within the confines of an app, others may prefer to see their lives unfold in a traditional book. That's the new feature of <a target="_blank" href="http://dayoneapp.com/book/" rel="noopener noreferrer">Day One</a> that longtime journal writers are going to love -- printed books.</p>

<p>On Thursday, April 27, Apple is set to open a new eco-friendly retail store in Dubai at the Dubai Mall. The store was designed by Foster + Partners -- an architectural firm that has worked with Apple on many of the flagship stores -- and features 18 "solar wings" that not only help to shield the sun during hot days, but are also considered one of the world's largest kinetic art pieces.</p>

<p>A judge in The Netherlands has ruled against on Apple for its common practice of replacing broken iPads with factory refurbished units, <a target="_blank" href="https://translate.google.com/translate?act=url&depth=1&hl=en&ie=UTF8&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=auto&sp=nmt4&tl=en&u=https://uitspraken.rechtspraak.nl/inziendocument%3Fid%3DECLI:NL:RBAMS:2017:2519" rel="noopener noreferrer">stating that the faulty units must replaced with new equipment</a>.</p>

<p>Apple announced today that the top 100 Apple stores worldwide will be redesigned to include a "grove" of live trees, meeting spaces, and large, dominating video screens like that in the new Apple Union Square retail outlet in San Francisco. In addition, 495 locations that are properly equipped will add a new educational event series called "Today at Apple".</p>

<p>Last night we live streamed episode 5 of <a target="_blank" href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVONM6G3hHZgDRX7VgZDDJdqr6pyRPVdk" rel="noopener noreferrer">AWT TV</a>, and it was a good one. Featuring just Steve and Marty (Dennis is taking a much-needed vacation), the show celebrated the second birthday of another revolutionary Apple device -- the Apple Watch. </p>

<p>Up to this point, the iPhone rumor industry has been solid in sending out a stream of unvalidated statements saying that there will be two main iPhone models this year: an iPhone 7S that will be an iterative improvement on the existing iPhone 7, and a radically different iPhone called the iPhone 8, iPhone X, iPhone Edition, or iPhone Pro... Now <a target="_blank" href="http://micgadget.com/38326/new-iphone-8-will-have-2-models-not-three/" rel="noopener noreferrer">a Chinese tech blog</a> is saying that it received insider info from someone at Foxconn/Hon Hai that indicates that Apple would only be releasing the iPhone 8 and a "supersized" 8 Plus.</p>

<p><a target="_blank" href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/google-photos-free-photo-and-video-storage/id962194608?mt=8" rel="noopener noreferrer">Google Photos for iOS</a> was updated yesterday with official AirPlay support, adding the capability to stream photos and videos to TVs through Apple TV. Google Photos version 2.14 finally brings support for AirPlay to the app, almost two years after it was first launched. Prior to this release, iOS device users who wanted to "beam" photos and video to their TVs could not use an Apple TV as an AirPlay receiver.</p>

<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.reuters.com/article/us-apple-video-idUSKBN17R02R" rel="noopener noreferrer">Apple's first attempt at original video content has been delayed again</a>. "Carpool Karaoke," which is a spinoff of the namesake segment on The Late Late Show with James Corden, was first announced last July. Initially the show was to debut in March and was then pushed back to this month. Now the latest from Apple after postponing a launch party is that "Carpool Karaoke:The Series will premiere on Apple Music later this year."</p>

<p>At the 2017 NAB Show in Las Vegas, Western Digital Corporation announced upgrades to the G-Technology product line targeted at creative professionals. The big news is the addition of Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C technologies to the product family to optimize the speed and performance of the G-Technology product lines.</p>

<p>Apple today sent out an email to all affiliates, those people who "advertise" apps and other content on websites or in apps in order to earn commissions on each sale. In the past, commissions for all types of content -- apps, music, movies, books and TV -- have been set at 7%. Now Apple has announced that the commission rate for app and in-app content sales will be dropping to 2.5% effective May 1, 2017.</p>
