<p>After two and a half years of wearing an original 42mm Space Gray Apple Watch, I'm finally considering moving up to the Apple Watch Series 3 with cellular. When I upgrade an iPhone, there's always Apple's iPhone Upgrade Program to take care of the old device, and a number of places where I can get a pretty decent price if I wish to sell it outright. But what about the aftermarket for Apple Watches? Does it exist?</p>

<p>One of the big questions for people who are considering a purchase of the new Apple Watch Series 3 with cellular is "How much is a data plan for this thing going to cost me?" We now have an answer -- just $10 a month. </p>

<p>Case manufacturers <strong><a target="_blank" href="http://case-mate.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Case Mate</a></strong> and <strong><a target="_blank" href="http://xdorialife.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">X-Doria</a></strong> haven't just been sitting around waiting for the new phones to come out from Apple -- they've been designing and manufacturing cases! I recorded this video on September 11, 2017 before the Apple Event, so you'll have to excuse me if we get the names of the new iPhones wrong. Our "best guesses" for the naming conventions are iPhone X for the OLED iPhone, and iPhone 8 and 8 Plus for the "next generation" in the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus series. </p>

<p>As expected, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus were announced at today's Apple event. There's a new glass front and back, with an aluminum trim around the sides. It is a very durable glass, and microscopically sealed for water and dust resistance. </p>

<p>Today, Apple announced the new Apple Watch 3 with built-in cellular.</p><p>After a short video with stories from a number of Apple Watch owners talking about how the Watch is changing their lives and Jeff Williams mentioning how watchOS 4 is going to work to help things out. </p>

<p>Do you use Safari Extensions? They're add-ons that work within Apple's Safari browser to add functionality. In the past, selecting Safari > Safari Extensions pointed you to a web page where you could browse and select extensions. While that still happens, there's now a link (seen in the screenshot above) that points you to the Mac App Store. </p>

<p>Are you excited yet? Tomorrow's Apple event should prove to be one of the most interesting product reveals in the history of the company, even if this weekend's leaks took a bit of the surprise out of what we expect to see. Since Apple still doesn't invite us to these events although Dennis and I have a combined history of online writing that exceeds 50 years <a target="_blank" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulletin_board_system" rel="noopener noreferrer">(I was writing about Apple on a Bulletin Board System called MAGIC in 1986!</a>), we'll be doing the same thing you will tomorrow -- watching the Apple livestream. </p>

<p>Since the iPhone first appeared on the scene in 2007, no other product has received so much attention in the form of online articles, reviews, tweets and comments. <a target="_blank" href="http://decluttr.com" rel="noopener noreferrer">Decluttr</a> is a great place to sell your old iPhone prior to tomorrow's announcements, and they sent along an infographic showing some of the "funniest, misguided and spookily accurate reactions to each of the past 15 iPhone releases".
