AWT TV Episode 27: November 7, 2017

<p>What a great week! Last Friday marked the official debut of the <strong>iPhone X</strong>, and it's a game-changer. Marty talked about how he decided to go back to the Apple TV 4K after having returned his first one. The issue that caused him to make that decision earlier was that the device upscaled everything to 4K, which didn't look all that good for some shows. Apple has announced that an update will soon fix the problem so that movies and shows will appear in their native resolution.</p>

Play a game, help dementia researchers

<p>One of the issues that researchers looking into the causes and cures for dementia run into is not having enough data to know when a person begins to show symptoms of the disease. The folks at GLITCHERS and scientists from University College London, University of East Anglia, and Alzheimer's Research created an iOS game called <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sea-hero-quest/id1034383306">Sea Hero Quest</a> that leverages Apple's ResearchKit framework to let researchers capture anonymized data for study.</p>
