Apple has been granted a patent (number 10,557,724) for “angle detection of a rotating system using a single magnet and multiple hall sensors.”</p>

<p class="">A <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-02-11/mastercard-wins-approval-to-enter-china-s-27-trillion-market" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">report</a> by Bloomberg says Mastercard has been given the green light by the People's Bank of China to begin operating its bank card clearing business in China,. This means that Apple should be able to expand its self-branded Apple Card in the country.</p>

<p class="">A newly granted patent (number 10,558,278) for “interacting with an electronic device through physical movement” shows that Apple wants Apple Watch users to be able to interact with the smartwatch without having to touch the display.</p>

<p class="">Warner Music Group veteran Jeff Bronikowski said in a LinkedIn post — as noted by <a href="https://www.reuters.com/article/us-apple-music/apple-hires-warner-music-veteran-to-oversee-music-initiatives-idUSKBN2052AN" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Reuters</a> -- that he has joined Apple as global head of strategic music initiatives.</p>

The research group identified the rollout of contactless cards in the U.S. and improvements in China’s contactless POS [point-of-sale] infrastructure as key drivers of this increase, as well as strong growth from Apple Pay.</p>
