The tech told staff the shift will mean faster delivery times for customers who live further from distribution centers than from stores, the article adds, quoting unnamed “people who asked not to be identified discussing internal policies.”</p>

<p class="">California Judge Yvonne Gonzales Rogers has denied Epic Games' request for a preliminary injunction that would have required Apple to allow Fortnite back into the App Store, which means the app will continue to remain unavailable from Apple's platform, according to <a href="http://www.macrumors.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">MacRumors</a>.</p>

A new class action lawsuit accuses Apple of enjoying monopoly power in the iOS gaming and uses anticompetitive behavior to maintain its stranglehold, according to <a href="https://appleinsider.com/articles/20/10/08/lawsuit-alleges-apple-blocks-cloud-gaming-apps-to-stifle-apple-arcade-competition" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">AppleInsider</a>.</p>

<p class="">If you bought a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac or iPod touch in or after September 2019, you were automatically eligible for a free year of Apple TV+. The freebie year would expire starting in October, but apparently has been extended.</p>

<p class="">Over 120 shortlisted buildings have won the prestigious 2020 American Architecture Awards for the best new buildings designed and constructed by American architects in the U.S. and abroad and by international architects for buildings designed and built in the United States. Apple’s Carnegie Library in Washington D.C. took home an award in the Restoration/Renovation category.</p>

<p class="">In his first TV job since winning an Emmy for <em>True Detective</em> and following with the Emma Stone-Justin Hill series <em>Maniac</em>, Cary Joji Fukunaga will direct the first three episodes of Masters of the Air, the Apple TV+ World War II epic limited series from Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television and Tom Hanks & Gary Goetzman’s Playtone, reports <a href="https://deadline.com/2020/10/masters-of-the-air-cary-joji-fukunaga-director-apple-series-amblin-playtone-steven-spielberg-tom-hanks-gary-goetzman-james-bond-no-time-to-die-1234589853/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Deadline.</a> This will also be his first directing assignment since helming the James Bond film <em>No Time To Die.</em></p>
